  • Full-time Registered Behavior Technician I The mission of Grant a Gift Autism Foundation (GGAF)
  • Ackerman Center is to provide comprehensive clinical services, resources, education, research, and advocacy for the development of meaningful solutions.
Providing better outcomes for individuals, families, and our community living with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT's) work within our Programs Team, of Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)/Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). The programs team provides direct services to clients across a variety of programs.
The programs include:
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Social Skills Groups, Daily, Living Skills Groups, and Vocational Groups. Job Purpose The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the direct, ongoing supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board-Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). The RBT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services. The RBT may work with GGAF-Ackerman Center client's one-on-one or within a group setting at the clinic or community sites. Client ages range vary. Duties and Responsibilities Direct Client Services Under the guidance of the BCBA implements behavioral programming in 1:1 and group settings. Collects data on all programming and writes progress notes. With the BCBA, advises and consults with families and other center personnel. Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures. Participates with all other personnel, as needed, in patient care settings. Provide and model appropriate behavioral strategies for the child and family and conduct regular parent training. Under the guidance of the BCBA, completes assessments, as required, to deliver behavior
  • analytic services.
Monitor client's work performance and provide feedback and prompts when needed Record proper documentation (i.e., data) on all consumers' work performance Ensures and maintains confidentiality, privacy and compliance of client's rights in accordance with HIPAA regulations and GGAF policy and procedures Demonstrates a high level of service delivery and strives to ensure patient satisfaction Facilitate natural supports in the workplace for the client and job site supervisors Monitor and help the acquisition of mastery across program goals (e.g., hygiene, on-task behavior) and work-site specific tasks Develop a rapport with families by providing excellent customer service Assist with the facilitation of other Programmatic events such as Group outings, Session Orientation, Teen's Night Out, and Sibling Support Group (SIBS) Direct Administrative Services Maintain client data and progress notes in GGAF tracking systems Input attendance in GGAF tracking systems Prepare session materials and forms Complete parent/caregiver meetings to discuss progress of client Attend monthly staff meetings to discuss clients' growth and receive continued education Assist with other Programmatic or center related administrative duties as needed Participate in GGAF Ackerman Center events Educational Requirements Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification a plus or ability to obtain their certification within the first 45 days Position is contingent on being fully credentialed as an RBT within the first 45 days Must have 40-hour RBT course completed upon hire Minimum 18 years of age with a High School diploma or equivalent Must have reliable transportation Able to pass a Background Check that meets State of Nevada Qualifications These are the primary qualifications necessary for someone to be successful in the position. Passion for GGAF Ackerman Center mission and the work we do for children and families affected by neurodevelopmental disorders. Patient approach when working with youth and children Passion for teaching and instruction Prefer at least one-year experience delivering supported employment services or other direct services to individuals with disabilities Knowledge and experience with ESDM and ABA techniques preferred Ability to discuss sensitive issues with families using compassion and empathy Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills Creative, professional, and resourceful with the ability to work independently Very detail oriented and strong organizational skills Physical Requirements May include interacting with children on the floor for extended periods May include standing, sitting, and/or walking for extended periods May include performing repetitive tasks May include working on a special schedule (i.e., evenings and weekends with clients) May include working with challenging patients and clients May include lifting up to 50 pounds
