We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our clinical team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families. Role Summary:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who works one-on-one with clients to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs under the direct, ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, one-on-one therapy to clients in home, clinic, school, or community settings as directed by the BCBA. Implement individualized treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, and skill acquisition programs created by the supervising BCBA. Accurately collect and record data on client behavior and progress using CentralReach. Follow all mandated reporting guidelines and maintain strict client confidentiality (HIPAA). Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging environment for the client. Effectively communicate with the supervising BCBA and other team members regarding client progress, concerns, and questions. Complete all necessary documentation, including daily session notes, accurately and in a timely manner. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and required staff training. Adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) RBT Ethics Code and all Nevada state licensing requirements for behavior technicians.
Qualifications and Requirements:
RBT Certification:
Must possess and maintain a current, active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Nevada Registration:
Must be registered/licensed with the State of Nevada, as required by law (e.g., through the Nevada Board of Applied Behavior Analysis or similar state body).
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is highly preferred.
Background Check:
Must pass a criminal background check and abuse registry check.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, and move quickly to follow a client. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Physical capacity to implement behavior management techniques, including non-physical and physical crisis intervention procedures, as trained.
Other:
Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance (if traveling to in-home/community sessions). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to working collaboratively in a team environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Rate based on experience.
Professional Development:
Paid ongoing training, assistance with continuing education requirements, and support for those pursuing advanced certification (BCaBA/BCBA).
Supervision:
