Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic After School BT to join our team for a case in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. This vital role involves providing compassionate support and supervision to children with developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. You will work closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans, foster positive behavior, and promote skill development. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a safe, engaging environment where children can thrive after school hours. Responsibilities Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting, feeding, dressing, and grooming Implement behavior management strategies based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behaviors Collect and record data on children's progress and behavior to inform care plans and interventions Support children in developing social skills, communication, and independence through engaging activities Collaborate with families, teachers, and behavioral health professionals to ensure consistency in care and teaching methods Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Experience Prior experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is highly preferred Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles is a strong asset Familiarity with special education practices and teaching strategies for children with diverse needs Experience in patient care or supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges is advantageous Ability to accurately collect data, maintain medical records, and understand medical terminology related to behavioral health Patience, compassion, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to enriching children's lives through dedicated support, innovative teaching methods, and compassionate care. Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
