Behavior Technician (BT) - ABA Services | Farmingdale, NY New York Therapy Placement Services (NYTPS) is seeking dedicated Behavior Technicians to provide 1:1 ABA therapy services to children on the autism spectrum. We currently have immediate openings in Farmingdale for both clinic-based and home-based cases: Clinic-Based Case - Farmingdale Work with a 4-year-old client 10 hours per week

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM-11:00 AM Home-Based Case - Farmingdale Work with a 6-year-old client 4.5 hours per week

Job Description:

New York Therapy Placement Services Inc. is hiring ABA Therapists and Behavior Technicians to service clients at our NYT Kids Clinic in Farmingdale. This position is per-diem with flexible schedules. This opportunity is excellent for someone who is looking to gain additional experience and really help make a difference in the lives of young children with special needs. This position is also ideal for people who are working towards degrees in Psychology, Special Education, Speech Therapy, OT or Social Work. Ideal candidates come from a background of servicing individuals with disabilities, specifically Autism Spectrum Disorders in DD population including: ABA schools or programs, Day Habilitation/Day Programs, or Residential Alternatives or Special Education Programs helping individuals specifically with Autism Spectrum Disorders. We specialize in servicing individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) across our programs. Each individual treatment plan is tailored to the client's needs, developed and supervised by our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts. (BCBA-D, BCBA, BCABA).

Responsibilities:

Implement established goals and follow treatment protocols during daily groups/sessions. Support and facilitate achievement of goals while working in groups with young children in clinic setting. Organize and update program book. Monitor and collect information about client's behavior and skills using data collection. Complete log notes for each session. Must be able to access the internet daily to enter information with computers, laptops, tablets or phones. Attend team meetings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND one year of supervised experience working with children ages 2-21 on the Autism Spectrum. Associate's degree considered if qualifying experience. Experience implementing ABA programs preferred. Registered Behavior Technician Certification preferred. Must have a reliable means of transportation.

Position requirements:

The ability to meet the physical demands of the job including frequent sitting on the floor, getting up from the floor, running with children, etc. Competent in behavior management, skill instruction, oral and written. Great communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Must be energetic, creative, intuitive, and have a passion for working with children and helping them achieve their goals and reach their fullest potential. Must possess a high degree of professionalism and patience. Must be able to reliably attend sessions daily/weekly schedules.
