Job Description

BlueSky Center for Learning is located in beautiful Ithaca New York. BlueSky Center for Learning provides a Verbal Behavior Model of Applied Behavior Analysis therapy and related services in a clinic based program. As Behavior Specialists we offer an engaging environment where children receive ABA therapy through exploration and creativity. Our school-based collaborations & clinic help each child grow at their own pace while building confidence & independence. Behavioral solution services include evaluations & school team support focused on social interaction, communication & key skills. We nurture a supportive community where every child feels inspired.

We are hiring for a full time position . Our Behavior Technician's provide direct one-on-one behavior analytic services under the direct supervision of a Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Certified Behavior Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCABA). This is an excellent opportunity to receive professional training in the application of behavior analytic principles and procedures regarding children with autism. Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments of learner skills across appropriate domains and co-develop individual treatment plans that include observable and measurable objectives Teach learners the most developmentally appropriate functional skills as determined by each individual assessment and treatment plan Work with individual learners or groups of learners within natural environments Responsible for daily upkeep of program materials for assigned learners Receive direct training from supervising BCBA/BCABA and obtain passing scores on competency evaluations for instruction and record keeping Interact with parents and others in a professional manner Protect and ensure the health and safety of each child in the Center Assist learners with health and hygiene practices Participate in the development of reports and treatment plans Participate in staff meetings and mandatory training and in-services Opportunity to participate in fun Team Building exercises and programs
Skills:
Basic knowledge of the principles and procedures of Applied Behavior Analysis preferable but not required Basic knowledge of Skinner's analysis of Verbal Behavior preferable but not required Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms Good organizational skills High level of professionalism and personal integrity Good time management Ability to lift 30 lbs
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred from an accredited college or university. Accepted degrees are preferred in behavioral sciences, psychology, nursing or education Relevant/Equivalent experience is considered Professional references upon request
