Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and caring Behavior Technician (BT) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by a BCBA Provide one-on-one therapy in home, clinic, school, or community settings Collect accurate data on client progress Assist clients in developing communication, social, daily living, and coping skills Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment Collaborate with supervisors, families, and team members Participate in ongoing training and team meetings Preferred Experience We strongly encourage applicants with experience in the following roles to apply: Special Needs Teacher Special Education Teacher Paraprofessional Teacher or Teacher Assistant Daycare Worker or Childcare Provider ABA Therapist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Direct Support Professional (DSP) Youth Counselor Early Intervention Specialist Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges is highly valued. Qualifications High school diploma required (Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred) Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain patient, professional, and compassionate Reliable transportation (if required for travel) Ability to pass background check RBT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire) Need
