Behavior Intervention Specialist Opportunities! Masters Degree Required

New York Therapy Placement Services (NYTPS) is seeking part-time Behavior Intervention / Support Specialists to join our growing Behavioral Support Programs. Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Flexible scheduling options Diverse settings to expand your experience Key Responsibilities Provide behavior support services in school, home, and community-based settings Support children with autism and related disabilities in achieving individualized goals Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and individualized programs Use ABA strategies in both 1:1 and group settings Apply techniques such as: Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) Natural Environment Teaching (NET) Track, record, and analyze data for progress monitoring Collaborate with supervisors and team members on program adjustments Support skill development, including: Social skills Functional communication Gross and fine motor skills Daily living skills Behavior management Promote each child's dignity, safety, health, and overall well-being Position Requirements Ability to meet physical demands (e.g., sitting on the floor, lifting, running with children) Must be comfortable working in a variety of settings (home, school, community) Willingness to assist with toileting when required Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Energetic, creative, and compassionate approach to working with children Reliable transportation required Must reside in Nassau or Suffolk County, NY Experience working with children with autism, behavioral challenges, or related disabilities required

Qualifications Required:

Completed Master's Degree in ABA or a related field

Preferred:

Experience implementing ABA programs Experience working with children ages 2-21 on the autism spectrum or with related disabilities
