Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Position Summary The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for providing direct behavior intervention and support to children within school-based classroom settings. The BCBA works as a member of the Child and Family Services (CFS) team, including psychologists and social workers, to support the behavioral, educational, and developmental needs of children. The BCBA provides direct behavioral services, develops and implements individualized behavior intervention strategies, collects and analyzes behavioral data, and collaborates with teachers and other members of the educational team to promote positive outcomes for children.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct behavior intervention services to children in school-based classroom settings. Conduct behavioral observations and assessments to identify behavioral needs and potential barriers to learning. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans and strategies. Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based behavioral strategies to support children's learning and development. Provide direct support to children exhibiting challenging behaviors and implement proactive strategies to increase appropriate behaviors. Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make data-driven recommendations. Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to ensure consistent implementation of behavioral strategies throughout the school day. Provide guidance, modeling, and support to classroom staff regarding behavior intervention strategies and the implementation of behavior plans. Work collaboratively with psychologists, social workers, teachers, and other members of the CFS and Education teams. Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and collaborative planning related to children's behavioral and educational needs. Assist in identifying environmental, instructional, and behavioral factors that may impact a child's ability to participate successfully in the classroom. Monitor progress and make recommendations for modifying interventions as needed. Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to behavioral interventions, observations, data collection, and progress monitoring. Participate in parent and team meetings as appropriate to discuss behavioral needs, interventions, and progress. Maintain professional knowledge of current evidence-based practices in Applied Behavior Analysis and behavior intervention. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable agency policies, procedures, and regulations. Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development activities. Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with children, families, staff, and administration. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field. Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required. Experience providing behavior intervention services to children, preferably in a school or educational setting. Experience working with children with developmental disabilities and/or challenging behaviors preferred. Knowledge and experience applying Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based behavioral interventions. Strong observation, assessment, data collection, and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide direct behavioral support within a classroom environment. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and adhere to confidentiality requirements. Capable of lifting up to 45 pounds multiple times per day, as needed. Must be able to work effectively in a dynamic school-based environment.

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $77,500.00 per year
