Yonkers, NY Job Details Part-time $26.50 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Working with individuals with developmental disabilities HIPAA Working with children Health information regulatory compliance Patient interaction Health information management Clinical confidentiality policies Full Job Description Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. This energetic position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by implementing individualized care plans, collecting data to monitor progress, and supporting clients in developing essential skills. As an RBT, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to foster positive behavior change and promote independence in a compassionate, engaging environment. Duties Implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to support clients' developmental goals. Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence and confidence. Collect accurate data on client behaviors and skill acquisition to track progress and inform treatment adjustments. Support clients during teaching sessions, utilizing evidence-based strategies to promote communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop, review, and update individualized care plans and behavior management strategies. Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages growth, engagement, and trust for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training for all new hires. Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods. Passionate about working with individuals with developmental disabilities and committed to promoting their well-being through patient care and teaching. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and team members. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining flexibility to adapt to individual needs. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
