Trust The Journey Academy is a private, therapeutically integrated K-8 school serving students with diverse learning needs, including autism, ADHD, developmental delays, emotional and behavioral challenges, and other exceptionalities. Overview The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with other RBTs, BCBA, IS, and educational lead. Will be able to work with multiple students at a time in a classroom setting and implement behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of licensed clinicians, utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral therapy techniques. Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors. Support clients during their school day, assisting with skill development in areas such as communication, socialization, daily living skills, academics and adaptive behaviors. Collaborate withIS, BCBA, SLP, OT
to ensure carry over through out the child's school day. Maintain or receive your RBT certification. Be able to pass Physical Intervention training and implement with fidelity when needed. Experience Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly preferred. Ability to collect, analyze, and document data accurately during the school day. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient confidentiality. Compassionate attitude with patience and flexibility to support clients' unique needs. A background in special education or behavioral health is a plus; relevant certifications are encouraged but not required.
