00 This full-time Registered Behavior Technician position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on students' lives in a supportive public school setting during the 2026-2027 school year. Working 40 hours per week on a school-day schedule, the RBT provides one-to-one and small-group support to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs under the supervision of a BCBA, school psychologist, or other designated behavior specialist. Core responsibilities include implementing behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans, supporting students in general and special education classrooms, using evidence-based ABA strategies, and accurately collecting and documenting data throughout the day. The work is highly collaborative, with the RBT partnering closely with teachers, intervention specialists, and related service providers, attending team meetings as needed, and contributing to data-driven decisions that help students build communication, social, academic, and functional skills. The Special Education Department is known for its strong collaboration, student-centered focus, and practical support for staff. RBTs are treated as valued team members whose observations and expertise are respected in planning and problem-solving. The department emphasizes manageable caseloads, a team approach to challenging behavior, and a commitment to fostering independence and social-emotional growth rather than simply reducing behaviors. New staff benefit from a welcoming, mentorship-oriented culture where administrators and colleagues are approachable and invested in staff success. This is an excellent setting for RBTs who want a stable, positive work environment where they can see students' progress over time and develop professionally within a close-knit team. The position is located in a friendly small town in central Ohio known for its strong sense of community, low cost of living, and easy access to outdoor recreation. The area offers affordable housing options, including single-family homes, starter homes, and rental houses and apartments in town and nearby communities, making it feasible for someone relocating to the region. Residents enjoy local parks, nearby lakes and trails, community events, and a modest but enjoyable dining scene with locally owned restaurants, diners, and cafes; additional food, drink, nightlife, and live music options are available in surrounding towns within a short drive. Overall, this role is ideal for someone seeking meaningful school-based work in a safe, welcoming community where everyday expenses and housing are generally more affordable than in larger metropolitan areas.
