Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract A full-time position is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 support for an 8th-grade student with autism. This role requires someone dedicated to working closely with the student using Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) to facilitate effective communication and behavioral progress. The position is based in Sidney, OH, within a school setting and operates on a contract basis.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering consistent one-on-one behavioral support using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques. Implementing behavior intervention plans tailored to the student's needs. Assisting with communication development through PECS. Monitoring and recording the student's progress and behavior data accurately. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to maintain a supportive learning environment. Attending to the student's academic and emotional needs throughout the school day.
Qualifications and desired experience:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Experience working with children with autism, especially in school environments. Knowledge and practical use of PECS communication system. Ability to start promptly at 7:00 AM, with availability until 3:00 PM. Strong communication skills and patience to support an 8th-grade student effectively.
