Job Description
Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract A school in Troy, OH, is seeking a full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for an 8th-grade student with autism. This contract position requires a compassionate and skilled professional to work from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, supporting the student's unique communication and behavioral needs within the educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to an 8th-grade student diagnosed with autism. Implement and reinforce Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Support the student in using Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) as a primary communication method. Monitor progress and document behavioral data accurately. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. Assist in developing and adapting behavior intervention plans tailored to the student's needs.Qualifications and Experience:
Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential is required. Experience working with school-age children, particularly those with autism, is preferred. Knowledge of PECS and ABA methodologies. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally with students and staff. Reliable availability to consistently start work at 7:00 AM.
