Working closely with this student, you'll help create an inclusive and successful learning environment, utilizing your skills in behavior support and communication strategies. Ideal candidates may possess a background as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), although an active certification is not required—expired or inactive credentials are welcome. Experience in educational settings or as a 1:1 aide is highly valued. Training with PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) is a significant asset, as the student communicates using this method.

Qualifications:

Experience as an RBT (active or inactive), behavioral aide, or in a similar role involving behavior intervention. Familiarity with supporting students with autism. Prior training or strong familiarity with PECS. Commitment to a full-time school schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Strong communication skills, collaborative approach, and a patient, student-focused attitude. Ability to build rapport and follow individual support plans.
