Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide dedicated one-on-one support for an 8th-grade student with autism in a school setting located in Wapakoneta, OH. This contract position requires a compassionate professional skilled in applied behavior analysis, with hands-on experience supporting students who utilize PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) as their primary communication method.
Key qualifications and experience include:
Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required. Proven experience working with students on the autism spectrum. Expertise in facilitating communication using PECS. Ability to implement individualized behavior plans effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and the patience needed for a one-on-one aide role. Punctuality and commitment to a full-time schedule, with availability starting at 7:00 AM. Comfort working with middle school level students, specifically 8th grade.
Responsibilities:
Provide consistent one-on-one assistance tailored to the student's individual needs throughout the school day. Support the student's communication and behavioral goals, implementing strategies as outlined by supervisors. Monitor progress and collaborate with educators and therapists to ensure cohesive support. Maintain a safe, encouraging, and structured learning environment. Document and report behavioral data accurately.
Hours and Location:
Full-time position from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Location based in Wapakoneta, OH.
