Cornerstone Behavioral Health and Pediatric Therapies is looking for clinic-based Behavioral Technicians willing to implement behavior plans written by Board Certified Behavioral Analysts. The Behavior Technician position will provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis services to children and families diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Experience in working with children with Autism or other developmental disabilities is required. Additionally, some knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis is preferred.
Role and Responsibilities :
Demonstration of Competence in the areas on the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Task List including but not limited to: Measurement Assessment Skill Acquisition Behavior Reduction Professional Conduct and Scope of Practice. Adhere to supervision requirements Communicate with parents and other caregivers regarding client progress Provide clinical and pertinent information to supervisors Collect and enter daily data in to an Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Clinical Training/Supervision Expectations:
Works collaboratively with BCBA, Lead Behavior Technician , and other primary therapists to gain familiarity with clients' treatment plans Report any clinical limitations that may impede client's therapeutic progress to Director of Programs, Director of Therapy, BCBA or the appropriate primary therapist Demonstrates mastery in knowledge of basic behavior analytic principles (as outlined by BCBA) Demonstrates understanding of various behavior analytic teaching methods (as outlined by BCBA) Demonstrates understanding of 1:1 direct therapy guidelines Demonstrates advanced observational skills during training sessions Demonstrates a basic understanding of client's progress data and graphic representation Assist BCBA and primary therapists in data collection procedures as requested Team Work Asks questions of others to seek clarity and understanding both individually and in group situations; seeks guidance from the Director of Programs, Director of Therapy, and the BCBA.
Self-Management:
Performs assigned tasks and job duties with self-confidence and self-assurance while knowing professional limits and requesting assistance when necessary Consistently models a positive, motivating demeanor at all times. Uses skills in team-building and communicates effectively and efficiently to assist peers. Works closely with Director of Programs, BCBA, and Lead Behavior Technician to develop skills while providing quality therapy.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree preferred; will take a combination of education and experience. Possess quality written and verbal communication skills. Actively pursue, participate and complete a company funded Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) program and pass the RBT examination; within 45 days of being hired . Reliable Transportation Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time. Sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time
