Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as an Autism Support Specialist, where you'll provide essential instructional guidance for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including those with Asperger's Syndrome and high-functioning autism. This full-time position (1.0 FTE, 191 days per year) plays an integral role within Student Services, delivering targeted lessons and support for learners from kindergarten through age 21. You'll enrich lives by designing and implementing interventions in classrooms, resource rooms, and other educational settings, fostering both academic and behavioral growth in line with state standards, IEPs, and behavior plans.
Desired Qualifications:
Current BCBA certification and experience serving school-age students Strong understanding and application of applied behavior analysis (ABA) Proficiency conducting and interpreting assessment tools for students with ASD Ability to design, evaluate, and modify individualized behavior support plans Experience adapting general and special education curricula for diverse learners Commitment to affirming cultural and linguistic diversity in intervention planning Collaborative approach—comfort working as part of multidisciplinary teams, including IEP participation Skilled in providing staff and parent training on evidence-based practices
