Join Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and help students develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive. In this school-based role in Aston, PA , you'll work directly with students in an emotional support classroom, providing behavioral and emotional support throughout the school day. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you'll implement evidence-based behavioral strategies, support student growth, collect data, and help students achieve success academically, socially, and emotionally. Support students with emotional, behavioral, and social needs throughout the school day Implement behavior intervention plans and skill-building programs developed by a BCBA Assist with classroom instruction and school-wide PBIS initiatives Collect and maintain accurate behavioral and student progress data Reinforce positive behaviors and teach replacement skills Assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and other educational professionals to support student success Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment About DESS Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) partners with school districts to provide evidence-based support in behavioral intervention, special education, academic programming, and student mental health. Education :
High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited college/university in special education, psychology or other related field; RBT certification strongly preferred. Will consider candidates in process to complete RBT Certification.Experience :
Must have one year of experience working directly with children or adolescents who experience behavioral challenges. Experience with crisis intervention/CPI Safety certification preferred. Previous RBT experience preferred, but training and supervision will be provided. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to handle crisis level behavior. Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
