Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract A school district near Jim Thorpe, PA is seeking a dynamic Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a contract position in the upcoming school year. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the district's behavioral services as their first BCBA, working onsite across three campus locations—supporting general education and special education students alike. The ideal professional is data-driven, eager to collaborate with educators and school psychologists, and confident developing effective behavioral supports. In this impactful role, you'll engage with students directly, support emotional support classrooms, conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), create and monitor behavior intervention plans, and participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
Key Qualifications:
Board Certification as a BCBA Demonstrated experience in educational settings, supporting a diverse student population Strong data analysis, FBA, and behavior plan development skills Collaborative approach and strong communication abilities with multidisciplinary teams Ability to work onsite across multiple school locations Submission of a redacted FBA sample and professional references required
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct behavioral services to students at all three district school sites Observe and assess student needs, including within emotional support classrooms Conduct FBAs, gather and interpret behavioral data Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and administrators to support student success Actively participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions This full-time opportunity (37-40 hours per week) offers the chance to be a trailblazer for behavioral support services within the district, working exclusively onsite.
