Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a difference in the school community by providing essential support as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) on a contract basis for the remainder of the current school year, Extended School Year (ESY), and the upcoming academic year. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to build strong, consistent rapport with a single student, working 1:1 with an 18-year-old male who requires behavioral support due to disabilities that may include physical aggression. This role starts as soon as possible and continues through June 4, 2026, including ESY from July 1-30, 2026, and resumes with the next school year from August 25, 2026, to June 4, 2027. School year hours are Monday to Friday, 7:15 am - 2:30 pm; ESY runs Monday through Thursday, 9 am - 1 pm.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential required Previous experience working in school settings preferred Skill and confidence managing behavioral challenges, including physical aggression Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles Ability to collaborate effectively with educational and support staff Commitment to maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Work 1:1 with the assigned student to implement behavior intervention plans Monitor, record, and report student progress and behavioral data Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis prevention/intervention strategies when needed Communicate progress and concerns with supervising professionals and school staff Support academic, social, and emotional development in alignment with educational goals This is a fantastic opportunity to establish continuity and create meaningful impact for a student in need of dedicated behavioral support.
