Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) About the Role We're seeking a dedicated School Behavioral Technician to support a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students. In this role, you'll partner closely with teachers, counselors, and school staff to implement evidence‑based behavioral strategies that help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities Behavioral Assessment:
Conduct observations and assessments to identify student needs and behavioral challenges.
Behavior Plan Development:
Collaborate with educators and support staff to design individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Intervention Implementation:
Deliver consistent, evidence‑based behavioral interventions aligned with each student's BIP.
Data Tracking:
Collect, document, and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
Crisis Response:
Safely de‑escalate crisis situations using approved intervention techniques to protect students and staff.
Communication:
Maintain clear, ongoing communication with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress and concerns.
Professional Growth:
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices in behavior management and intervention.
Team Collaboration:
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team-including special education staff, counselors, and administrators-to support student success.
Inclusive Culture:
Promote a school environment that values diversity, respect, and inclusion for all students. Qualifications Active RBT Certification Experience working with students with behavioral needs or special education backgrounds Strong understanding of behavior management and evidence‑based interventions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Crisis intervention training (e.g., CPI, Safe Crisis Management) preferred Demonstrated patience, empathy, and commitment to student well‑being Required Clearances (All must be current within the listed timeframe) Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
