A Behavior Analyst is a mental health professional focusing on applied behavior analysis. Usually requires a certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Senior Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Required Qualifications Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the BACB Current and unrestricted Texas license as a Behavior Analyst (issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation - TDLR) Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience providing ABA services to individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities Demonstrated experience supervising BCBAs, BCaBAs, RBTs, and/or technicians Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and data-driven decision making Experience developing, reviewing, and overseeing individualized behavior intervention plans Proficiency with VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, FAST, FA, and other functional assessments Knowledge of insurance authorization processes , documentation standards, and compliance requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain ethical standards in accordance with the BACB Ethics Code Valid driver's license and ability to travel between clinic, home, and community settings as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience in a leadership or clinical director-level role Experience opening or scaling new clinics or programs Familiarity with Texas Medicaid, TRICARE, and commercial insurance funding sources Experience collaborating with IEP teams, school districts, and multidisciplinary providers Strong mentoring, coaching, and staff development skills Bilingual abilities a plus Core Competencies Clinical leadership and team oversight Ethical decision-making and professionalism Staff training and performance management Family collaboration and caregiver training Program evaluation and continuous improvement Organizational and time-management skills
