Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with developmental disabilities, particularly autism, and providing behavioral therapy. Perspectives Corporation is hiring immediately in Northern RI, specifically: Providence, East Providence, North Providence, and Warwick for 6 to 12 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed clinician Collect data on observable client behavior Assist in the development of treatment goals and objectives Collaborate with families and caregivers to support client progress Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records Participate in team meetings and training sessions
Skills:
Experience working with children with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols Basic to fluent in American Sign Language Perspectives' New Employee Orientation program provides a welcoming, in-depth training experience to accommodate those who have never worked with people with developmental disabilities.
Qualifications:
Must have at least one year of college level education or currently be enrolled in a minimum of 6 college credits Favorable background check, driving record and DCYF clearance Valid driver's license and access to insured vehicle This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities through evidence-based interventions.
