Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract This position seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support a 1:1 pre-school student with autism and communication needs in a structured educational setting. The role is situated in a district integrated pre-school classroom, accommodating eight students alongside a special education teacher and two paraprofessionals. The student's needs include managing a short attention span and high energy, requiring focused, compassionate behavioral support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized behavioral support and interventions for a pre-school student diagnosed with autism. Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to address communication needs and enhance learning. Collaborate effectively with the special education teacher and paraprofessionals to maintain a supportive classroom environment. Implement behavior plans as directed and document student progress meticulously. Adapt strategies to meet the student's unique needs while promoting engagement and attention.

Qualifications:

Current RBT certification required. Experience working with children with autism in educational or clinical settings. Strong understanding of ABA principles and behavior intervention strategies. Patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a classroom team.

Full-time preferred, 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM; part-time option available, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Contract role. This opportunity allows for meaningful impact by supporting a young learner's developmental and behavioral progress within an inclusive educational setting.
