Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a role where your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) can make a noticeable impact in a supportive educational atmosphere. This contract opportunity near Greer, SC, focuses on providing 1:1 and small-group behavioral support to elementary-aged students. You'll be working primarily with a young male student exhibiting work avoidance behaviors and occasional aggression during escalated moments. This part-time position starts at two hours per day, with efforts underway to expand to a full-time schedule as the candidate pool develops.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Experience in educational or clinical settings working with children, preferably elementary age Comfortable with behavior management, including implementing verbal redirections and de-escalation strategies Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations Strong communication and documentation skills Previous work with 2:1 environments or similar caseloads is a plus
Responsibilities:
Provide direct behavioral intervention under the supervision of a BCBA Carry out behavior intervention plans, focusing on strategies to reduce work avoidance and manage escalations Use positive reinforcement, verbal redirection, and data collection to support student progress Collaborate with teachers and BCBA to adjust interventions and report on student progress Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages student development and independence
