11PM-7AM Broadstep Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team at our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) in Kingstree, South Carolina. As an RBT, you will work directly with individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities, helping them build meaningful skills, increase independence, and successfully navigate behavioral and emotional challenges under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, including positive reinforcement, prompting, shaping, and skill acquisition. Help individuals strengthen communication, social, daily living, and emotional regulation skills. Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and support individuals in developing safe and appropriate alternatives to challenging behaviors. Respond to behavioral escalations using approved crisis prevention, intervention, and de-escalation techniques. Collect accurate and timely data regarding behaviors, interventions, and individual progress. Complete required session notes and clinical documentation. Communicate behavioral trends, progress, and concerns to the supervising BCBA and treatment team. Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, DSPs, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide consistent, coordinated care. Help maintain a safe, structured, therapeutic, and supportive residential environment. Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, required training, and ongoing RBT supervision.
What You Will Need Required:
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification , or the ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and approved Crisis Intervention certification. Ability to remain calm, professional, and responsive during behavioral or crisis situations. Strong communication, interpersonal, documentation, and teamwork skills. Ability to follow structured treatment plans and behavioral protocols. Ability to successfully complete required background, drug, and health screenings.
Preferred:
At least 6 months of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Knowledge of ABA principles and behavioral intervention strategies. Experience working in a behavioral health, residential treatment, healthcare, or similar setting. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
