Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a passion for supporting students in a school-based setting. This full-time contract position covers the 2026-2027 academic year, with potential for extended school year involvement. Located approximately one hour southeast of Columbia, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' lives through hands-on behavioral interventions. As a BCBA in this role, you'll work directly with students, focusing on building coping strategies and employing de-escalation techniques. You'll collaborate with educators and families to conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), design and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy methods to foster student success across multiple settings.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active BCBA certification is required. Previous experience in school-based or pediatric ABA therapy settings strongly preferred. Skilled in carrying out FBAs and developing BIPs. Demonstrated proficiency with hands-on ABA practices. Strong communication abilities and collaborative mindset. Open to candidates comfortable providing in-home services, though this is not mandatory.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct behavioral support to students to enhance emotional regulation and academic participation. Assess student needs, collect and interpret behavioral data, and adjust interventions as necessary. Train and guide school staff and families on behavior intervention strategies. Document progress and maintain comprehensive records in accordance with established protocols. Engage in planning and team meetings to ensure comprehensive support is provided.
