Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) specializing in children with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. In this vital role, you will deliver evidence-based behavioral therapy to support children's developmental progress and improve their quality of life. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to foster independence. Collect and record precise behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Support children in educational settings by applying special education techniques and behavior management strategies. Communicate regularly with clients' families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and transparency in care. Maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral records, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard client confidentiality. Adhere strictly to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts while delivering direct behavioral therapy. Requirements Prior experience working with children, especially those with autism spectrum disorders or other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and implementing ABA therapy protocols effectively. Experience assisting with ADLs and supporting behavioral health initiatives in home-based or school environments. Ability to collect detailed behavioral data accurately and utilize medical terminology appropriately within documentation. Familiarity with medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology related to developmental disabilities. Strong communication skills for engaging with clients' families, caregivers, and team members professionally and empathetically.
