Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Registered Behavior Technician. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference each day, working in a collaborative school environment near Roebuck, SC. Join a passionate team committed to helping young learners achieve their goals using evidence-based practices. We're seeking a dedicated professional to work with an elementary student (male) requiring behavioral support, including managing work avoidance, utilizing verbal redirection, and safely addressing aggression when escalated. This part-time assignment is currently 2 hours daily, with the potential for full-time hours as opportunities expand.
Desired Qualifications:
Active RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification Experience supporting children or students with behavioral and/or developmental needs, ideally in a school setting Comfort with implementing BCBA-directed behavior plans Ability to apply positive reinforcement, verbal redirection, and de-escalation strategies Strong communication and teamwork skills Patience, compassion, and flexibility
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group behavioral support as directed by a supervising BCBA Follow individualized behavior intervention plans with fidelity Track and record data on student progress and behaviors Collaborate with teachers and school staff to maintain a supportive environment Support students in developing coping skills and classroom participation Maintain a professional, empathetic, and proactive approach at all times Contribute to a supportive school community, positively influencing a student's educational journey.
