9644905-29691 Job Description Exciting opportunity for a full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to make a real difference in a school setting near Walhalla, SC! This contract position is ideal for RBTs seeking a rewarding role that goes beyond the ordinary, supporting students who exhibit aggressive behaviors, elopement, and heightened reactions to sounds or loud music, often associated with PTSD. You'll play a pivotal role in helping these students access their education safely and successfully.

Qualifications and Experience:

Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred Demonstrated success working with students exhibiting aggressive behaviors or elopement Proficiency in managing and de-escalating crisis situations using evidence-based practices Understanding of how PTSD and sensory triggers impact behavior Collaborative attitude and strong communication skills with students, educators, and families

Key Responsibilities:

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans in accordance with direction from supervising BCBA and school staff Recognize triggers and proactively support students to minimize disruptions caused by sound sensitivities or other stressors Utilize de-escalation strategies to safely address challenging behaviors Document and communicate behavioral data accurately and promptly Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth for all students Work closely with school staff to adapt strategies as needed for client progress This is a fantastic chance for a compassionate and skilled RBT to expand their impact by supporting some of the most resilient students.
