Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) -
School-Based Autism Transition Program Location:
Germantown/Cordova, TN Area Hours:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (School Calendar)
Compensation:
Competitive; based on experience and qualifications Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one support for a young adult with autism during the final two years of high school. This position is part of an ABA-based transition program designed to prepare the student for adulthood through vocational training, community participation, independent living skills, communication, and employment readiness. The RBT will work closely with the student, family, school staff, and supervising BCBA to implement individualized programming and support meaningful progress toward adult independence. Responsibilities Implement individualized ABA programming under BCBA supervision. Support vocational and job-readiness activities. Assist with community-based instruction and work experiences. Teach and reinforce independent living and daily life skills. Implement behavior support plans and prompting/fading procedures. Collect and maintain accurate data. Support communication, social, and self-advocacy skills. Facilitate community navigation and safety skills. Collaborate with family members, educators, and clinical providers. Encourage independence while providing appropriate support. Qualifications Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required. Experience working with adolescents or young adults with autism preferred. Knowledge of ABA principles and data collection procedures. Strong communication and organizational skills. Reliable transportation. Ability to work independently while receiving BCBA supervision. CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
