Job Description

Primary Purpose The Behavior Facilitator - Floater serves as a member of the district behavior team and provides targeted, campus-based support across multiple campuses. This role bridges the gap between campus-level implementation and district-level behavior systems by modeling interventions, supporting campus Behavior Facilitators, and assisting with the implementation and fidelity of behavior supports. The floater responds to campus needs, assists in escalated situations, and helps ensure consistency of behavior practices across the district. Qualifications Education/Certification High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Handle With Care (HWC) restraint training (required or willingness to obtain) Special Knowledge/Skills Strong understanding of behavior intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques Ability to model behavior supports in real time Knowledge of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and data collection processes Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic situations Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and responsive in crisis situations Experience Experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors Experience supporting or implementing behavior plans in a school setting Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties Behavior Support & Intervention Provide direct support to campuses in implementing behavior intervention strategies Respond to escalated behavior situations and assist with de-escalation and crisis intervention Utilize approved physical interventions only as a last resort to maintain safety Model appropriate behavior management techniques for campus staff Coaching & Capacity Building Support and coach campus Behavior Facilitators in implementation of behavior supports Provide modeling, feedback, and guidance to ensure fidelity of interventions Assist campuses in building staff capacity to respond to student behavior proactively Collaborate with teachers and administrators to problem-solve behavior concerns Implementation & Fidelity Assist in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with fidelity Support monitoring of interventions and provide feedback to the Behavior Specialist Help ensure consistency of behavior practices across campuses Reinforce district expectations for behavior systems and processes Data & Documentation Assist with behavior data collection and progress monitoring Support campuses in maintaining accurate and timely documentation Communicate trends, concerns, and needs to the Behavior Specialist Collaboration & Communication Serve as a liaison between campuses and the district behavior team Communicate effectively with administrators, teachers, and support staff Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders Flexibility & Responsiveness Maintain a flexible schedule to support multiple campuses based on need Prioritize assignments and respond quickly to urgent situations Travel between campuses as required Compliance & Professionalism Comply with all federal, state, and district policies and procedures Participate in professional development to improve job-related skills Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Other Perform other duties as assigned
