At Divinity ABA, LLC., the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works directly with clients, delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a BCBA. RBTs implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on improving the social, communication, and behavioral skills of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. The RBT is responsible for providing consistent support, collecting data, and ensuring the client's progress toward therapeutic goals in various environments. Work Shift-Candidates must be available on Mondays-Fridays, 8:00AM-5:00
PM Minimum Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver ABA Therapy:
Implement 1:1 ABA therapy sessions based on the treatment plan designed by the supervising BCBA. Teach clients essential skills such as communication, social interaction, and daily living skills. Utilize ABA techniques such as reinforcement, prompting, and behavior chaining to reduce challenging behaviors and promote skill acquisition. Follow specific behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to manage problem behaviors like aggression, self-injury, and elopement.
Data Collection and Progress Monitoring:
Accurately collect data during each session, documenting client progress and any notable behaviors. Submit data to the BCBA regularly for review and analysis to ensure treatment effectiveness. Maintain clear and accurate session notes, following HIPAA guidelines for client confidentiality.
Family and Caregiver Collaboration:
Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families to foster collaboration. Provide families with updates on progress and guidance on how to support the client outside of therapy sessions. Collaborate with caregivers to ensure consistency in implementing behavior plans across home and community settings.
Supervision and Training:
Attend regular supervision sessions with the BCBA to receive feedback, guidance, and professional development. Participate in required training and competency assessments to maintain RBT certification. Follow all instructions from the BCBA to ensure therapy fidelity and alignment with treatment goals.
Maintain RBT Certification:
Adhere to all requirements of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) to maintain active RBT status, including supervision hours, continuing education, and ethical practice. Complete annual renewal requirements and stay informed of changes in BACB standards. Compliance with
Ethical Standards:
Uphold BACB ethical guidelines in all professional interactions, maintaining client dignity and privacy. Follow the organization's protocols and safety procedures to ensure client well-being. Report any concerns, incidents, or injuries to the supervising BCBA or Clinical Director promptly.
Qualifications:
Certification:
Active RBT certification from the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board) is required.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism and developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Familiarity with ABA principles and interventions is beneficial
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with clients and their families. High level of patience, empathy, and a passion for helping individuals with special needs. Attention to detail in data collection, reporting, and following behavior plans. Physical ability to engage with clients during play, activities, and therapy exercises.
Work Environment:
The work environment for an RBT at Divinity
ABA, LLC
is dynamic, supportive, and collaborative. You will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disorders in a variety of settings, including clinics, homes, schools, and community locations. The position requires physical activity, and you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, assist with mobility, and engage in activities that may involve kneeling, bending, stooping, reaching and standing for extended periods. Salary and Benefits:
