26-27 JOB SUMMARY The Coordinator 2, Behavior Supports position supports the development and implementation of proactive data-driven behavioral systems that promote safe and inclusive learning environments for all students. This role works collaboratively with campus and district staff to implementMTSS/PBIS
frameworks, build staff capacity, and provide target interventions that address student intervention, behavioral, and socio-emotional needs. The position ensures consistent use of evidenced based on practices, reduces reliance on exclusionary discipline, and improves student outcomes. In addition, this role interfaces with HISD leadership and manages the daily responsibilities of the team and ensures the delivery of high-quality continuity of care for students and school communities.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Coordinate behavioral support and intervention activities for all campuses, mobilizing response teams, deploying resources, and managing logistics to ensure a swift and efficient response. 2. Support campus leaders and MTSS teams with conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals' behavioral needs, including identifying triggers, patterns, and strengths. 3. Develop individualized behavioral support plans based on assessment findings, incorporating input from stakeholders, and adhering to best practices and regulatory documentation requirements. 4. Support the Director of Crisis Response and Behavioral Supports with timely and effective behavioral support interventions to students. 5. Collaborate with district and campus interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to behavioral support. 6. Manage a team of behavior specialists with day to day behavioral support for campuses. 7. Collect and analyze district level data related to behavioral referrals, intervention plans, and Frontline documentation.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED 8.
Monitor campus teams and provide support for progress towards behavioral goals, collect data, and conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions. 9. Use data insights to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and make recommendations for improvement. 10. Facilitate behavioral support and intervention training with district stakeholders. 11. Stay informed about current research, trends, and evidence-based practices in behavioral support and crisis prevention- intervention and disseminate relevant information to staff.EDUCATION
