Primary Purpose:
Provide expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support students with behavioral challenges across the district. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts behavioral assessments, develops behavior intervention plans, provides consultation and training to staff, and collaborates with families to improve student outcomes. The BCBA supports both general education and special education programs and assists the district in developing effective behavioral systems and supports.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Eligible for or currently holding Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) status in Texas (if applicable) Special Knowledge/Skills Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and interventions Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) Experience developing and monitoring Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) Knowledge of special education laws, including IDEA and ARD/IEP processes Experience using behavioral data collection and analysis systems Ability to train and coach educators and paraprofessionals Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and school teams Experience Preferred experience working with students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, or significant behavioral challenges in school settings
