  • 28 per hour Elementary campus Supervision provided to RBT's and Aspiring BCBA's The Registered Behavior Technician provides direct behavioral interventions to students to teach communication, social and daily living skills and reduce problematic behaviors in the school setting.
Behavior Technicians will utilize interventions developed out of the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Duties and Responsibilities Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills Fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations) Accurately collects behavior data including: A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event and interval based recording Follows the intervention plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation Collaborates with team members to provide interventions effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment Support teachers on reinforcement and early intervention information Reinforce classroom behavior expectations Experience/Education Two years experience working with children with behavior or social difficulties preferred Two years of completed coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development or related fields a plus Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician a plus Supervision is offered to individuals currently enrolled in a master's program who are completing fieldwork hours toward certification/licensure as a BCBA. Supervision:
Supervisees would be provided with opportunities to work with a multidisciplinary team, work with a wide range of students and practice a variety of skills related to the BCBA Task List While employed at Summit Academy Schools supervision is provided at no cost to the supervisee There is no contractual obligation to work for our organization after licensure is obtained.
