Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the supervising BCBA, utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and fostering independence and confidence. Support teaching sessions by reinforcing learning objectives across communication, social skills, and functional life skills in engaging ways. Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation, including behavior logs, care plans, and progress notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency of care and share insights on client progress. Uphold patient care standards by adhering to safety protocols, respecting client confidentiality, and maintaining professional conduct at all times. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices and working with people with autism spectrum disorder. Strong skills in data collection, medical documentation, and understanding medical terminology related to behavioral health. Compassionate attitude with excellent teaching abilities and patience when working with diverse clients. Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining flexibility to adapt to individual needs.
