The Job:
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Compensation:
Direct Care Services:
$19.00 per hour Starting Rate +$1 per hour for Spanish Speaking Candidates, more based on experience
Shadowing, Training, Meetings:
$12.00 per hour
Drive Time:
$9.00/hr Opportunities for increases and promotions based on experience and performance
Additional Benefits:
Paid Training Guided, hands-on training Drive Time reimbursement Responsibilities Follow behavioral health treatment plan for each patient Observe, play and collect data during each session Help the child cover essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social/emotional skills Work on goals with child that help shape challenging behaviors into communication skills Collect quality data on goals, as outlined in patient treatment plan, during each session Write quality, objective, and professional session notes after each session Maintain clean and organized work environment, whether in the home, in the school, or in the clinic setting Obtain and maintain Safety Care and Basic Life Support certifications (paid training, provided by ABA, Inc.) Must maintain a professional appearance Maintain a high level of communication with all team members and families Attend scheduled meetings & trainings as assigned Qualifications Lots of energy, playful, creative, able to think on your feet, and comfortable with children of all ages Ability to constantly get up/ down off floor, move quickly, good situational awareness Ability & willingness to learn our data collection software, use Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams), and other technology/systems Desire to learn, work independently, and provide the best quality care to the patients High school diploma or GED Must be 18 or older RBT certified or willingness to become certified within 120 days of hire Reliable transportation with a valid driver license and proof of auto insurance Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to speak, read and write clearly and effectively in English Physically able to play on the floor with children, while providing therapy (sit, stand, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs) Must pass a background screen About The Company We are committed to broadening and improving the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays. We provide individualized, scientifically based services through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in Salt Lake, Wasatch and Summit Counties, Utah. We will work with your child and family to create a target-specific plan that is most essential to increasing your child's independence and quality of life. We prioritize a gentle approach that takes into consideration a child's bodily autonomy and free will. We are dedicated to creating a positive, least restrictive environment wherein a child may learn, grow, and access reinforcing experiences. We believe that ABA is merely a tool used in the broader picture of therapy. We happily work alongside other professionals, including teachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, mental health providers and medical doctors.
