Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Behavioral Therapist to join our team in a part-time capacity. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Your primary focus will be to implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and special education. Responsibilities Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote skill acquisition and reduce problematic behaviors. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care tasks. Collect and analyze data during sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans. Develop, implement, and update personalized care plans based on client needs and progress reports. Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and data security. Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support consistent intervention strategies. Support clients in educational settings by applying special education principles and teaching functional skills aligned with their individualized education programs (IEPs). Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and care planning is advantageous. Experience in data collection for behavioral health or educational purposes will help ensure effective treatment monitoring. Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals.
