Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract To Hire Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher for an Extended School Year program in a vibrant school community near Falls Church, VA. This full-time, contract-to-hire role centers on providing personalized, one-on-one guidance to 1st grade students, many of whom benefit from specialized support tailored to their behavioral and educational needs. You'll be working in a collaborative environment with on-site administration readily available for guidance, ensuring you have the resources and support necessary for your success. Experience with students who have Autism and ADHD is highly valued, as is a passion for making a genuine impact on their growth and development.
Desired Qualifications:
Active certification such as BCBA, BCBA-D, or Special Education Teacher license Credentialed as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) strongly preferred Prior experience working with children on the Autism spectrum and/or those with ADHD Background in developing and implementing IEPs and behavioral intervention plans Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate among teams and families Flexibility, patience, and adaptability in working one-on-one with 1st grade students
