Located in Fairfax, VA, our team serves families throughout Northern Virginia, delivering high-quality ABA therapy to promote positive behavioral changes and enhance the quality of life for our clients.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans and support their daily living skills. This role is crucial in promoting positive behavioral changes and enhancing the quality of life for our clients through effective behavioral therapy techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement individualized care plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Provide direct support to clients in various settings, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence. Collect data on client progress and behavior as directed by the supervising BCBA. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred. Background in special education or related fields is a plus. Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and individualized care plans. Strong understanding of patient care practices and the ability to implement them effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. Experience working with children is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A valid RBT certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
