Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting students and staff near Virginia Beach, VA as a BCBA! This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference across five classrooms, working closely with teachers and paraprofessionals to foster positive learning environments and promote student success.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required Experience providing ABA-based support in educational settings Skill in training and coaching educators and paraprofessionals Strong data analysis ability to inform behavioral interventions Commitment to proactive, positive behavior support strategies Flexibility to adapt to classroom support needs as they arise
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with and support approximately 10-15 students across five classrooms Train and mentor staff in the use of Applied Behavior Analysis strategies Reduce negative student behaviors while increasing positive behaviors through targeted data-driven interventions Deliver in-the-moment support and model strategies for staff regarding reinforcement, de-escalation, and maintaining a safe classroom atmosphere Follow up in writing with supportive emails and guidance on maintaining modeled practices Step in as classroom support when staff are absent or during staffing shortages Lead professional development sessions for teachers and paraprofessionals on topics such as data collection, effective behavior management, and the implementation of visual supports
Key Details:
