Registered Behavior Technician-RBT/BT Empowering Minds 4 Change, LLC - 5.0 Woodbridge, VA Job Details Part-time $23 - $25 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications RBT Certification HIPAA Assisting with ADLs Working with children Direct support Data collection Full Job Description Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by implementing individualized behavior intervention plans, collecting data, and supporting skill development. You will work closely with licensed behavior analysts, educators, and families to foster positive growth and independence in a compassionate, energetic environment. Responsibilities Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to support clients' goals. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, dressing, and other self-care skills. Collect accurate data on client behaviors and progress to inform ongoing treatment plans. Support teaching and skill acquisition across various areas such as communication, social skills, and behavior management. Collaborate with team members to develop and update individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation of medical records and progress notes. Foster a positive, engaging environment that encourages client participation and growth while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training for new team members. Knowledge of ABA techniques, behavior management strategies, and data collection methods. Ability to assist clients with ADLs and support their overall well-being through patient care practices. Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance related to medical records. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Patience, compassion, and a proactive attitude toward teaching and supporting individuals with autism or other developmental challenges.
