Job Description

Job Summary The School Year Behavior Interventionist provides therapeutic intervention, behavioral support, and skill development for assigned child(ren) within school settings during the academic year. Working in collaboration with educators, families, clinicians, and other service providers, the Behavior Interventionist implements individualized behavior support plans designed to help students achieve social, emotional, behavioral, and educational success. This position focuses on supporting students throughout the school year and follows the academic calendar. School Year Behavior Interventionists do not participate in summer programming. Responsibilities include implementing behavioral interventions, supporting skill development, collecting and documenting data, assisting with crisis prevention and de-escalation, and promoting positive outcomes within the educational environment. Education/Experience Required:
High School Diploma required, preferred Bachelor Degree, or pursuing Bachelor Degree, preferably in the human services field. May have relevant experience in exchange for human service degree with a minimum of one year experience working with children who have emotional and/or behavioral disorders.
