Master's Degree or higher in related field of study. Current certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Holds or is eligible for an ESA certificate for School Behavior Analyst Possess experience working with students in an educational setting. Experience working with individuals with a variety of disabilities. Experience planning and conducting professional development/training. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to meet the Physical Demands of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED
Bilingual/Biliterate• in English/Spanish. Experience and/or training with computer technology and ability to assist staff with computer operations and data entry to maintain records.. Evidence of ability to be a self-starter. Punctual and consistent attendance.. Currently Meets qualifications to supervise Registered Behavior Tech and/or Certified Behavior Tech as needed.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide behavioral consultation and services to student's district-wide (preschool to age 21). Conduct Functional Analysis Assessments and collaborate with school staff in the development of Positive Behavior Intervention Plan (PBIP) in collaboration with staff, as appropriate, for students identified by the building intervention and/or team (MTSS or IEP team). Utilize data to plan, analyze, revise, and oversee instructional and behavioral tiered interventions to meet student needs Provide consultations to educators regarding the behavioral needs of students including behavioral management techniques and crisis prevention. Provide coaching to staff on how to implement tiered interventions for individual and/or groups of students, as well as on other supports such as classroom management strategies and Positive Behavior Supports Provide staff development on developmental issues such as: Principles of Behavior, PBIS, behavior management, intervention strategies, anger management, interpersonal skills, problem solving, group process, and mediation skills. Provide coordinated behavioral analysis of students experiencing academic impact due to a suspected or confirmed behavioral disability. Gather information from home environment for school success and communicate and assist parents in developing strategies and interventionsfor the purpose of reducing stress, easing transitions to and from school, and positively affecting student learning. Provide consultation, coaching and instruction in social/emotional areas to students to support intervention implementation. Assist building teams and individual providers in the development of data collection systems. Be trained in CPI ans serve as a CPI Trainier for the district ( Or other program as deisignated by the district- currenl CPI Compile and analyze behavior data to assess needs, set goals, and monitor progress. Participate in the development of crisis and/or safety plans. Report the results of data collection to individual IEP teams to assist in identification of student need and determine program modifications to address these needs. Work with building teams to develop individual student behavior plans. Work with building teams to monitor the implementation of individual student behavior plans. Work with individual students in crisis. Participate in the hiring, training and supervision of the paraeducator, CBT and/or RBTs intervention team. Participate in pre-assessment activities and complete and coordinate behavioral assessments for individual students as referred. Provide evaluative feedback to teachers, paraeducators and administrators regarding implementation of recommended strategies and accommodations for students. Work with Special Education administrators and other district administrators to develop and improve program and service options for students with disabilities throughout the District. Assist families with identifying and accessing community-based agencies to strengthen student support and services. Comply with Federal, State and Local Board policies and follow administrative procedures. Maintain knowledge of best practices and laws governing behavioral supports for students with disabilities. Attend in-service trainings and complete all other job required trainings as required. Ability to creatively solve problems and work through the conflict resolution process.
