Job Description

Job Description This role is a month-long contract with possibility of extensions. Location on site in San Diego, Monday through Friday 7-3:30pm. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of biomedical and laboratory equipment, including ventilators, infusion devices, patient monitors, and other electronic instrumentation.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment calibration
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues at the component level
  • Ensuring all equipment meets safety and manufacturer specifications
  • Managing documentation, inventory tracking, and maintenance records
  • Supporting equipment evaluations, upgrades, and replacement recommendations
  • Collaborating with vendors when needed and providing guidance to junior technicians

Certifications:
CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician, Manufacturer training/certifications Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical equipment Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts Understanding of Healthcare regulatory standards (TJC, AAMI, NFPA, Title 22) & general IT and cybersecurity awareness in a healthcare setting Strong problem-solving and judgment, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple equipment issues
