Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Clinical Simulation Technician to join our dynamic healthcare education team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating advanced biomedical simulation equipment used for clinical training and educational purposes. Your expertise will ensure that simulation devices operate seamlessly, providing realistic and reliable training experiences for healthcare professionals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative medical education while working with cutting-edge biomedical technology in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Set up and prepare high-fidelity patient simulators , task trainers, and simulation rooms for classes and clinical scenarios. Operate computerized mannequins and simulation software during training sessions. Program patient vital signs, symptoms, physiological responses, and scenario events. Assist faculty with developing and running simulation scenarios. Provide technical support during simulations and troubleshoot equipment/software problems. Clean, inspect, maintain, and perform basic repairs on mannequins and other simulation equipment. Manage simulation supplies, equipment inventory, and room readiness. Set up audiovisual systems, including cameras, microphones, recording systems, and displays. Record and organize simulation sessions when required. Help maintain equipment documentation, maintenance logs, and safety procedures. Train faculty and staff on the proper use of simulation technology. Assist with debriefing and post-simulation activities when appropriate. Follow infection-control, safety, privacy, and institutional policies. Qualifications Proven experience with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) biomedical simulation systems or similar medical electronic devices. Strong mechanical knowledge related to biomedical equipment repair and maintenance. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and interpreting technical manuals. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, calibration procedures, and test equipment operation for biomedical electronics. Familiarity with CMMS platforms for tracking maintenance activities and asset management. Knowledge of ISO standards and biomedical regulatory compliance requirements within healthcare environments. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Background in biomedical engineering or related field within healthcare settings is preferred. Ability to perform field service tasks involving electro-mechanical components using hand tools and specialized diagnostic equipment.
