80Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Engineering Program Manager, responsible for the duties relating to the purchase operation, safety, maintenance, and quality assurance of patient care equipment as outlined by the Medical Equipment Plan and following organizational and departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the implementation of the Medical Equipment Management Plan that assesses and controls the risk of medical equipment and assures compliance of requirements of all regulating agencies.Equipment management includes the following:
- Maintains an accurate and up to date inventory of equipment
- Assures all equipment has inspection procedures for safety, performance and PM'
- Perform pre-acceptance inspection of equipment prior to initial use
- Assures all equipment has a routine inspection schedule
- Performs routine inspections on equipment
- Assures all equipment has accurate and up to date service histories and statuse 2.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent in Biomedical Electronics or Electronics Engineering Technology
- Valid and current Michigan drivers license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of experience maintaining and repairing medical electronic equipment.
