Biomedical Engineering Biomedical Technician-Full Time Weekdays Scheurer Health is seeking a full-time Biomedical Technician. Responsibilities To ensure patient and staff safety at all Scheurer Health locations Perform safety testing and maintain patient care equipment, systems and instrumentation used during the delivery of health care services Complete reactive repairs and the preventative maintenance program for all equipment Requirements Possess a valid driver license with no restrictions High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. The preferred candidate will also have one of the following Associates degree in biomedical academic program or electronics technology Certificate from a U.S. Military biomedical equipment technology or electronics program Certificate from college, university or technical school for Biomedical Engineering Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) Biomedical Equipment Technician Certificate (BMET) If not certified, an applicant will at minimum have at least 1-year verifiable work experience in a related field and be willing to complete a BMET certificate program within 1 year of employment.
