Role:
We are currently seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I (BMET I) to join our expert team of healthcare technology professionals. In this vital role, you'll ensure the safety, functionality, and reliability of life-saving medical equipment across our facilities. You'll be a key player in a collaborative environment, working with clinical staff, vendors, and IT to support and improve Wellstar's cutting-edge biomedical systems. Responsibilites Respond to service calls and perform preventive/corrective maintenance on a variety of biomedical devices. Conduct calibrations, troubleshooting, and repairs with a focus on safety and performance. Read schematics, consult manuals, and collaborate with vendors and service reps. Document all work accurately using our equipment management software. Ensure new or serviced equipment meets all safety standards. Support equipment installations and updates, including applying security protocols. Partner with IT and engineering teams to support networked medical devices. Maintain strong customer relationships and represent the department professionally. Stay current with regulatory and compliance standards in medical technology. Contribute to quality improvement efforts across the system. Experience Biomedical Engineering Degree 1-3 years experience supporting medical devices and systems in a hospital environment Strong understanding of electronic circuitry and electro-mechanical devices Education & Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Associate's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering required Valid Driver's License (MO or other U.S. state) required
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
